Obituary

Rickey Leon Wigginton, born on October 30, 1949, in Golden, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 74.
Rickey proudly served his country with dedication and honor for 16 years in the United States Army. He held the position of a Door Gunner Veteran and concluded his military career as a Military Police officer. Following his distinguished service, he continued to work diligently as a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service.
In addition to his professional commitments, Rickey found immense joy in spending time with his beloved children and grandchildren. His hobbies included capturing the beauty of flowers and wildlife through photography, woodworking, traveling, and collecting various cards and memorabilia.
Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Willa Wigginton. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Laurie Wigginton, and his loving children: Robbie Wigginton, Tracie (Brent) Yoder, Timothy Wigginton, Karie (Jeff Morgan) Wright, and Nicholas (Ashley) Wigginton. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Brandon, Jonathon, Stephanie, Samantha, Destiny, Hunter, Casey, Ethan, Ellyssa, Logan, Landon, Teagan, and Kendall, along with 14 great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Willa Peckham and Wanda Linn.
Rickey's presence in the lives of his family and friends will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life will live on through the memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
