Obituary
Robert Ewing Wooten Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan. He was born on December 20, 1950, in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, to the late Robert and Ruth Wooten Sr.
Robert dedicated his career to manufacturing in the automotive industry, where he was known for his diligence and commitment. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he served in the United States Army, demonstrating courage and devotion to his country. He was an esteemed member of several organizations, including the VFW, American Legion, and Moose, reflecting his deep sense of community and camaraderie.
Robert's interests were varied and included playing pool, horseshoes, and poker. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, finding joy in their shared moments and accomplishments.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Wooten Sr.; his beloved son, Robert C. Wooten; and brothers, Ted and Jerry Wooten.
Robert is survived by his devoted spouse of 55 years, whom he married on October 11; his loving daughters, Christie (Anthony) Barthauer and Amy (Alan) Lawson; and his cherished grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Ingram, Justin Lawson, Marissa Ingram, Kayla Ingram, Jaxin, Lawson, Rori, Mason, and Mateo Baez. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Kaleesia and Kaimani. He also leaves behind his brothers, Larry and Roger Wooten, and his sister, Linda (Russ) Coates.
Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
