Obituary

WEDEMEIER, Russell H., age 76, of Flat Rock, September 2, 2016. Loving father of Russell Alan (Sherry), Wendy Lee, and Robert James (Crystal). Dear grandfather of Ryan and Kyla. He is also survived by his sister Marlene (Rick) Landry, his brother Milton Wedemeier and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Lillian Wedemeier, his brother Robert Edward Wedemeier, and his former wife Pauline. He loved listening to Joe Cocker, caring for his cats Tabitha and Ebony, golfing and watching sports. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force with 18 months in South Korea. He worked as an iron worker Local 223, Union Utilities for DTE Energy, formerly known as Detroit Edison, Monroe Power Plant for 37 years and retired in 2002. He was a 1958 graduate from Detroit Lutheran West High School. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
