Thereasa Mae Wegienka passed away on September 12, 2020. She was born October 2, 1926, in Antwerp Ohio. She moved to Michigan where she met and married her husband of 59 years, Stanley Wegienka Jr. Loving mother of Joseph (Linda) Wegienka, Cynthia Wegienka, Kathleen (Jerry) Sanchez, James (Cheryl) Wegienka and John (Inez Jarosz) Wegienka. Beloved granddaughter, Theresa (Jim) Farris, and her cherished friends Carol (Ted) Gilliland and neighbors Dan (Linda) Hall. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Wegienka Jr. and her daughter, Cynthia Wegienka. During WWII, Thereasa worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant as a “Rosie the Riveter”, assembling and painting bombs. She had several other small jobs before starting a family. Her most loved hobby was fishing and talking to her sisters in their native Hungarian language. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to a casino. Thereasa will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
