Obituary
Wanda Lynette Worley, aged 74, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Southfield, Michigan. Born on August 27, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama, she touched the lives of many with her warmth and boundless love.
Wanda found joy and fulfillment through her work alongside her daughter in the music industry, particularly within major country radio. She took great pride in promoting records nationwide, a testament to her dedication and passion. Above all, her greatest delight was her family—her beloved children and grandchildren whom she cherished dearly. An accomplished cook, Wanda had the remarkable ability to excel at anything she set her mind to. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life; she loved Jesus most of all.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Willis Worley Sr.; parents Alvin James Pruitt and Doris June (step-father George Carlos) Rogers, her son-in-law, Estill Lee Sowards; her brothers, Kenny Pruitt and Steve Pruitt.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Sharmian Lynette Sowards and William Willis Worley Jr. She also leaves behind her granddaughters, Angel (Brandon) Harris and Faith Worley, along with her dear sisters, Teresa Keller and Marilyn Pruitt, nephew Brad Pruitt, her beloved grand-doggy Anna Nicole along with many cherished friends.
Wanda's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends
