Obituary

William (Bill) Carles Warren born October 8th, 1925 in Pleasantville, Tennessee went home to be with The Lord on February 5th, 2017. He was the son of Marcus and Nora Warren. Bill is survived by a brother (R.W.) and a sister (Mattie Sue) both still living. His other brother (Billie Joe) is deceased. Bill enlisted in the Armed Services December 31, 1943. He served a total of 4 years in the European countries of France, Germany, and Austria. Bill returned home a decorated soldier, having received! Army of Occupation Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Battle Honors for Extraordinary Heroism in Action. Following his returning to his hometown, he decided to move to Ecorse, Michigan and began working for Great Lake Steel. He remained working there until his retirement after 39 years of service. In returning to Tennessee for vacation after 1 year on the job, Bill met a very beautiful young lady named Geneva Mathis. Their love and desire for each other brought them together in marriage, July 2nd, 1949. For 68 years they were together united as one, bonded in true love. They worked together, went everywhere together, served the Lord with great joy, and demonstrated what true partnership really was. Their lives together became an awesome example of what God could do for his children when they walk in faith and trust in God.
