Michigan Memorial Funeral Home and Michigan Memorial Park offer unique ways to honor our community’s Veterans. We celebrate Memorial Day and Veteran's Day and are committed to helping you with your VA burial benefits package (see below for an overview). We also have a horse-drawn, military-style caisson for a Veteran Traditional Burial, as well as a designated Veteran’s Bowl at Michigan Memorial Park, featuring an eternal flame monument. Please ask your representative for details.
VETERAN BENEFITS AND ELIGIBILITY

Burial benefits available for Veterans buried in a private cemetery may include a government headstone, marker or medallion, a burial flag, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate - all at no cost to the family. Some Veterans may also be eligible for Burial Allowances. There are no VA benefits available to spouses and dependents buried in a private cemetery at this time. Here are some potential questions to ask regarding burial in a private cemetery.
